This Candlelight Fund has been set up to celebrate the life of William Alexander Cochrane. We lost our wonderful William on may 3rd this year, my family lost their rock , our team lost their captain ,the community lost its pillar and the world lost one of the strongest , most caring considerate honourable men that ever was. We are all a bit shaken up by the sudden way he was taken from us in these strange times. It’s been a tremendous loss to the family and friends who knew him. And so we must now turn to what we have gained .We have gained memories , I have gained existence to be feeling this pain , he has made a wonderful family and gave them a warm loving home for many years, He gave a helping hand to those in difficulty throughout his community .We all gained good company and happy times countless hugs and so much love and laughter over the years. ,He gave us good advice when we asked for it and inner strength through difficult times when he could see we needed it . We learned lessons from his example of how to be and how to care and how to put others before oneself, he showed us how to stick at something put your back into it and work and work at it till you’ve got it down to a tee like a top spin serve that is totally unreturnable ... My Dad was a brilliant light that all who saw , now carry with them in a warm, safe corner of their hearts, he will be with us always and we are better people for knowing him.
